Job summary

Ace Hardware's The General Store in Spokane, WA is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to safeguard assets and maintain a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

You will support the AP Manager, deter shoplifting and inventory discrepancies, assist customers, handle complaints, and use basic computer skills and Microsoft Excel to support store operations while traveling between Spokane County locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+
• 1+ years of loss prevention/asset protection experience preferred
• Strong visual presence and motivation to work
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Effective communication skills in English
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel between multiple locations within Spokane County

Responsibilities

• Assist the Asset Protection Manager in identifying and addressing potential concerns such as shoplifters and inventory errors
• Provide positive representation of the store and assist customers with problem-solving
• Handle customer complaints and ensure a friendly shopping experience
• Utilize basic computer operations and Microsoft Excel for store operations
