You will monitor for potential theft, coordinate with leadership, and collaborate with local authorities and other retailers to deter and address threats. Responsibilities include communicating incidents to leadership, assisting with cash handling when needed, conducting on-site interviews, and documenting thorough reports in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
• Maintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other local retailers to identify organized retail crime threats
• Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
• Observe customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraud
• Addressing external theft concerns through uniform presence with strategic methods, as well as apprehending shoplifters when appropriate, according to company policy, ethical standards, and guidelines
• Monitor video via CCTV and conduct on-site interviews
• Documenting incidents by creating objective and thorough reports in a timely manner
• Maintaining all apprehension and investigation records according to company standards
