Job description

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize various tools to minimize loss, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems, and promoting a shrink elimination culture within the store.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
2. Preserving evidence and interacting with law enforcement.
3. Testifying in criminal and civil court proceedings.
4. Reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
5. Carrying out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes injury risks to oneself, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
6. Demonstrating integrity at all times.
7. Responding to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates.
8. Remaining focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
