Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. They utilize various tools to minimize loss, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems, and fostering a shrink elimination culture within the store. Additional responsibilities include preparing accurate case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in criminal and civil court proceedings. The Asset Protection Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and perform their duties in a manner that minimizes injury risks to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They are expected to demonstrate integrity, respond to asset protection and operational concerns, and focus on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
