Job summary

The United Family is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard assets and provide a safe shopping environment. Responsibilities include deterring shoplifting, conducting safety checks, and supporting loss prevention programs across stores.

The role requires physical endurance, strong communication, and the ability to follow corporate guidelines. Training and development are emphasized within a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Commissioned law enforcement officer preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of duties.
• Ability to accept supervisory coaching and work under pressure.
• Ability to learn and operate computer software and other tools.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining vigilance.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests entering the area.
• Take proactive measures to minimize loss and deter theft.
• Apprehend guests or team members who commit theft per guidelines.
• Follow assigned daily work schedule from Asset Protection leadership.
• Conduct surveillance and investigations as directed.
• Coordinate with management on shrink reduction initiatives.
• Perform store-level audits, safety checks, and walks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
