Job description

Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or multiple stores. They utilize various tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink elimination culture within the store. Additional responsibilities include preparing accurate case reports, documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in court. The Asset Protection Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions, carry out job responsibilities safely, demonstrate integrity, respond to asset protection and operational concerns, and support store-specific business objectives while fulfilling key asset protection duties.
