Job summary

Safeway is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to help guard people, products, and profits. You will monitor store activity, support investigations, identify risks, and take action in line with policy and law.

Success hinges on sound judgment, attention to detail, and strong communication, with a passion for helping others. In this role you’ll build partnerships with store leadership and protect the safety and well-being of customers and associates.

Qualifications

• You have experience in retail, customer service, leadership, asset protection, loss prevention, security, military, investigations, or other related fields.
• You have strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

A Day In The Life

As an Asset Protection Specialist, no two days are ever the same! You'll help protect our people, products, and profits by identifying opportunities to reduce theft, fraud, and operational loss. Using observation skills, technology, and strong partnerships with store leadership, you'll help support a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our customers and associates. You'll monitor store activity, support investigations, identify potential risks, and take appropriate action in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Success in this role comes from sound judgment, attention to detail, strong communication, and a passion for helping others. What You Bring To The Table

• You are 18 years of age or older.

• Experience in Asset Protection or Loss Prevention.
• Experience identifying theft, fraud, safety, or compliance concerns.
• Experience working with CCTV, investigations, reporting tools, or retail operations.
