The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. Key responsibilities include:

1. Using tools to minimize loss, such as identifying theft and fraud incidents, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, and auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems.
2. Driving a shrink elimination culture within the store.
3. Preparing accurate case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in court proceedings.
4. Reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
5. Carrying out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes injury risks to oneself, associates, vendors, customers, and the company.
6. Demonstrating integrity at all times and supporting operational and asset protection concerns while focusing on store-specific business objectives.
