Job summary

Goodwill-Solac is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to prevent loss across facilities, including donated goods, under the supervision of the Asset Protection Lead and the Vice President of Corporate Compliance.

The role involves monitoring loss prevention systems, identifying security concerns, and taking action on-site at stores, with responsibilities to report incidents, train staff, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in safeguarding company assets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in loss prevention, law enforcement, or investigative services.
• Security experience preferred.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Ability to work with all levels and management.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of computers and how they operate.
• Ability to solve problems as they arise.
• Ability to react appropriately in a stressful situation.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard company funds, property and merchandise, including donated goods.
• Identify physical security concerns and act on-site when at store locations.
• Investigate and report on incidents of or unauthorized possession of company property including shoplifting and employee dishonesty.
• Monitor safety programs and practices as assigned.
• Train other employees in safety and asset protection.
• Communicate clearly with the public and Goodwill staff.
• Ensure CCTV systems are operational daily.
• Respond to criminal activity outside business hours following policy.
• Respond to emergency calls and alarm activations on a 24/7 basis.
• Work with minimum supervision.
• Drive on company business as required.
• Schedule provided upon hire and subject to change.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
