Job summary

Nordstrom's Los Angeles store is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to help maintain a safe environment for customers and associates. You will partner with the Asset Protection Manager and store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence.

Daily duties include monitoring CCTV, supporting investigations, enforcing safety procedures, and executing RFID-driven shrink reduction strategies. You will also prepare incident reports and assist in training teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• Valid security license (where applicable).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Calm and professional approach to handling safety situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills (preferred).
• Comfortable using surveillance, reporting, and monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data and responding to alarms.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction using RFID and reporting tools.
• Complete incident, investigation, and security metric reports.
• Assist in training store teams and coordinate with management and law enforcement.
