Job summary

Nordstrom in Los Angeles is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to support safety initiatives, monitor CCTV, and investigate incidents. You will partner with store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence across Store Operations and Asset Protection.

The role involves executing RFID-based shrink reduction strategies, maintaining security reports, and assisting in training teams while coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Calm and professional approach to safety situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills.
• Comfortable using surveillance, reporting and monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data, conducting package checks, and responding to alarms in our Employee Service Area.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and other reporting tools.
• Complete accurate and timely incident, investigation, and security metric reports.
• Assist in training store teams on asset prevention, and connect with local law enforcement.
