Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to protect people, assets, and company integrity in a fast-paced retail environment. You will deter theft, support compliance, and maintain safety for customers, associates, and vendors across multiple store operations.

The role requires vigilance, strong observation, and clear communication. You will work with store leadership to investigate incidents, operate security systems, and provide training on loss prevention and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in loss prevention or asset protection preferred.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance and law enforcement interaction beneficial.
• Willingness to travel none; flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and support safety.
• Monitor checkout areas and review reports to identify fraud and cash handling issues.
• Conduct surveillance and investigate incidents; document findings.
• Apprehend individuals per policies and laws; coordinate with leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Train associates on loss prevention, safety, and compliance practices.
