Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Manager of Asset Protection to supervise AP teams, recruit and develop staff, oversee performance and budgeting, and execute the company shrinkage reduction strategy to protect employees and profitability.

The role partners with cross-functional store leaders to support the retail AP business, ensure safety, theft prevention, and compliance with company values and strategy.

Qualifications

• A valid security license is required for listed locations.
• Proven success in investigative, asset protection and security procedures.
• Understanding of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software.
• Ability to build productive relationships with employees and leaders.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving in high-stress situations.
• Strong written communication, organization, delegation and follow-through.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with surveillance technologies and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and execute the organizational strategy set by the AP Division.
• Develop relationships within the store with key leaders and HR to address shrink.
• Own building security and safety, and educate on emergency preparedness.
• Monitor reports to ensure AP incidents are reported and documented.
• Use data to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft.
• Lead shrink program execution and detect theft and dishonesty.
• Hire and develop talent for investigations, auditing, shortage reduction and controls.
• Be data-driven and use reporting to identify risks and maximize profitability.
