The Asset Protection Manager supports the organization’s loss prevention procedures to safeguard assets, prevent theft, and reduce shortages and fraud. Responsibilities include operational risk management, safety, incident investigation, and claim management.

What you’ll do

1. Identify, recommend, and implement processes to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or assets.
2. Develop and deliver loss prevention training programs for employees.
3. Audit and investigate sources of known losses.
4. Monitor inventory to identify theft or shortages.
5. Investigate suspicious customer and employee activity.
6. Prepare reports on prevention measures and suggest security improvements.
7. Monitor returns, voids, shortages, and shrinkage, and investigate anomalies.
8. Collaborate with HR and management on internal investigations of theft or policy violations.
9. Review security footage and maintain LP records; provide metrics and feedback for improvement.
10. Coordinate with IT on security system installations and upgrades.
11. Audit safety procedures and equipment regularly across locations.
12. Ensure vendor insurance certificates are current and procedures are followed.
13. Perform other duties as needed.

What you need to join the fun

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Extensive knowledge of retail operations and loss prevention strategies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
• Five years of experience in retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement.
• Wicklander–Zulawski certification or equivalent interview experience.
• Previous retail experience (preferred).
