Job summary

The Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center in Denver, CO is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to safeguard assets, monitor loss prevention programs, and partner with store leadership to reduce shrink.

You will conduct surveillance, investigations, and collaborate with law enforcement, while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies; travel may be required across the division and weekends could be part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and ability to pass background checks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect internal and external loss.
• Investigate theft and audit store conditions; report findings.
• Comply with laws, policies, and procedures during duties.
• Perform physical security checks and recommend loss-prevention measures.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and prepare case reports.
• Identify and resolve shrink, safety, and profitability issues.
• Maintain AP equipment tests during store visits.
• Travel across division; work varied schedules, including weekends.
• Support AP leadership and implement strategies at store level.
• Testify in court or hearings when required.
