Job summary

Bloomingdale’s in Norwalk, CT is seeking an Hourly Manager, Asset Protection to lead investigations, safety programs and shortage controls. You will hire, train and coach AP Associates while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures across external apprehensions, CCTV use, and record retention.

As a player-coach, you will communicate plans with store leadership, manage day-to-day AP duties, and partner with local law enforcement to safeguard customers and assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years direct experience in asset protection or related role.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities and compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal investigations and external Protection Program with adherence to policies.
• Coach and develop AP associates, provide regular feedback and performance management.
• Schedule staff effectively to meet store needs within budgeted hours.
• Maintain building security and safety, open/close as needed.
• Educate and enforce AP policies, equipment usage, and safety criteria.
• Coordinate with store leadership and local law enforcement as needed.
• Report non-productive detentions to the Regional Director of AP or Central AP partner.
