Job summary

Brobston Group is seeking a store security associate to protect assets and ensure a safe, welcoming customer experience. You will greet customers, monitor for shoplifting, and participate in shortage reduction initiatives.

You will apply state laws on apprehensions and work with store departments to maintain safety, including CCTV system operation and coverage during openings and closings.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related security experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must satisfy licensing requirements as required by state or local jurisdiction.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers on the selling floor.
• Identify, observe, and apprehend individuals committing shoplifting.
• Apply knowledge of state laws and statutes related to shoplifting and apprehensions.
• Participate in shortage reduction efforts in partnership with store departments.
• Maintain building safety and security, including opening and closing the building when appropriate.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems.
