Job summary

Hannaford is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to deter theft, protect store assets, and support loss prevention efforts. You will work to reduce shrink, maintain reports, and collaborate with local law enforcement.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to travel, and compliance with background checks and state licensing where applicable. Training and progression opportunities are provided within the asset protection team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn the technical requirements of the job.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• New York State security license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist AP in shrink reduction, audits, and reporting.
• Develop knowledge of criminal justice laws for security practices.
• Maintain relationships with local police and courts.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports and files.
• Deterrence and apprehension of shoplifters per guidelines.
• Appear in court when required.
• Be proficient in CCTV and AP technologies.
• Assist Regional Manager in training coordinators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet physical requirements of the position.
