Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability and willingness to learn the technical requirements of the job.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Have the ability to travel as required.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Asset Protection Department in shrink reduction activity, including internal & external theft and audit functions.
• Develop knowledge of criminal justice system and related laws.
• Maintain relationships with local police and courts.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports and files.
• Meet store averages for shoplifting apprehensions and deterrence.
• Detect, apprehend and deter shoplifters per company standards and law.
• Appear in court when necessary and provide documentation.
• Operate CCTV and asset protection technologies effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality of investigations and information.
• Assist in training new Asset Protection Coordinators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
