Job summary

Workstrings International in Broussard, LA is seeking a Procurement Support Specialist to assist daily purchasing operations, asset processing, and inventory handling of bar stock.

You will load and unload trucks with a forklift and overhead crane, move tools between workstations, transport assets across the campus, and use handheld power tools to support asset processing. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior shop/warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in shop, warehouse, procurement support, or related industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane with appropriate training.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and overhead crane.
• Move tools and assets within the shop using a forklift and overhead crane.
• Transport tools across the campus using a forklift.
• Use handheld power tools to support asset processing activities.
• Perform inventory functions and document bar stock length.
• Conduct dimensional checks on assets.
• Steel-stamp and stencil assets as required.
• Review shipping and receiving paperwork for assets.
• Follow QA and HSE policies and procedures.
