Job summary

Central Oil & Supply is seeking a Warehouse/Logistics Technician to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. This role requires a versatile, hardworking individual capable of fast-paced operations and multi-tasking.

The candidate will perform receiving, staging, picking, and shipment preparation, while using basic computer systems to track inventory and orders. Experience with forklifts is required; suitability for physical work is essential.

Qualifications

• Forklift driving experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order selection and inventory management.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with coworkers.
• Basic computer skills (data entry, inventory software, etc.).
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks.
• Must be able to lift, stand, and bend for the entirety of your shift.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory role is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload products from delivery trucks.
• Stage box trucks for next-day deliveries.
• Perform duties as an order selector, picking and preparing items for shipment.
• Crosstrain in multiple areas while assisting with a variety of tasks to support warehouse operations as needed.
• Utilize basic computer skills for inventory management and order processing.
