You will work with finance leadership and external service providers to resolve issues, manage contractual commitments, and support investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Assess portfolio results against production targets, operating budgets, and project agreements; identify shortfalls and recommend corrective action.
- Analyze plant data to evaluate output, equipment availability, and degradation trends.
- Hold third-party O&M providers accountable for service delivery, issue resolution, and contractual performance.
- Administer power purchase agreements and other project contracts, including tracking obligations and addressing performance issues.
- Evaluate operating risks and proposed expenditures, explaining their financial implications to the CFO.
- Coordinate with utilities, service providers, and local authorities on operational matters.
- Track safety, environmental, interconnection, and regulatory obligations, including reporting to agencies and power purchasers.
- Recommend and implement improvements that reduce costs and increase asset productivity.
- Apply lessons from operating projects to new project design, commercial agreements, and financing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Five or more years of experience managing or operating utility-scale renewable energy assets; solar generation and battery storage experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of SCADA and asset management applications, with experience interpreting operating data and investigating performance issues.
- Familiarity with the market environments administered by ERCOT and CAISO.
- Understanding of renewable energy power purchase agreements, interconnection terms, and applicable U.S. regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated success coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and connect them to business decisions.
- Availability for travel to operating sites and business meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or another relevant advanced degree.
- PMP, CEM, or comparable professional certification.
- Background in managing energy storage assets and modeling asset performance.
