Job summary

Clearlight Energy seeks a commercially minded Asset Manager to maximize value across a portfolio of utility-scale wind assets. You will own performance, budgeting, and optimization, coordinating with operations, finance, and external stakeholders.

The role requires deep wind operations knowledge, financial acumen, and a data-driven approach to drive efficiency, profitability, and project execution in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy asset management, with significant exposure to utility scale wind assets.
• Strong understanding of wind operations, performance metrics, and asset optimization strategies.
• Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day asset management of a portfolio of utility scale wind generation assets.
• Own overall asset performance, including availability, energy production, revenue, EBITDA, and budget delivery.
• Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and profitability.
• Lead financial optimization initiatives to ensure assets meet or exceed investment objectives.
• Manage operating budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and long-term business planning.
• Oversee contractual obligations, including O&M agreements, TSAs, PPAs, interconnection agreements, and landowner and stakeholder agreements.
• Partner closely with operations and technical teams to resolve performance issues and minimize downtime.
• Assess market exposure, curtailment risks, pricing impacts, and revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Support lender, investor, and internal reporting requirements.
• Lead cross functional initiatives related to major maintenance events, capital projects, and asset lifecycle planning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with operators, counterparties, ISOs/RTOs, consultants, landowners, and other external stakeholders.
• Support the integration, optimization, and performance improvement of newly acquired wind assets.

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially minded Asset Manager with deep operational knowledge of utility-scale wind assets and a strong financial and analytical skillset. This individual will be responsible for maximizing asset value, ensuring performance targets are achieved, and driving operational and financial optimization across a portfolio of operating wind projects. The successful candidate will act as the commercial owner of the assets, working cross-functionally with operations, finance, trading, engineering, and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong renewable operations expertise with a highly commercial and data-driven mindset.

The Company follows a hybrid work model, with employees in the office from Tuesday through Thursday. Remote candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

• Experience working within North American power markets, including ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, and CAISO.
• Knowledge of renewable energy project agreements and commercial structures, including PPAs, O&M agreements, interconnection agreements, and related contracts.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and implement performance improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across internal and external teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating acquired renewable energy assets into an existing operating platform.
• Exposure to merchant power markets, hedging strategies, and revenue optimization.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, performance analytics, and renewable asset reporting tools.
• MBA, CFA designation, or other advanced business, finance, or technical qualifications.
