What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Asset Management Coordinator to join our Transit & Rail group in Baltimore, MD. This is a hybrid position, requiring three days per week onsite at client offices.

What you'll be challenged to do:

The Asset Management Coordinator will assist with the collection, organization, and interpretation of asset inventory and condition data in support of a large-scale Transit Asset Management (TAM) program. The role is key in ensuring accurate, consistent asset information is available to inform planning, operations, and compliance activities.


In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Collect, organize, and validate asset inventory data across multiple asset types and operating modes.

  • Assist in integrating data into the agency's asset management systems and tools.

  • Extract and interpret condition ratings from inspection reports for inclusion in internal systems and reporting tools.

  • Support capital planning efforts by compiling and analyzing data from workshops, reports, and stakeholder sessions.

  • Assist in creating dashboards and visualizations for both technical and executive-level audiences.

  • Collaborate closely with asset owners and other internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Participate in site visits to transit facilities to support data collection and validation.

  • Perform other asset-related support activities as required.

Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a data- or project-oriented role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and maintain accuracy under deadlines.

  • Commitment to collaboration and team success.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

  • Must be able to travel to local work sites as needed.

What we prefer you bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally within a public agency or infrastructure program environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Data Analytics, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline.

  • Familiarity with Transit Asset Management (TAM) principles and FTA MAP-21 requirements.

  • Experience using tools such as TERM Lite, Maximo, ProjectWise, or Optram.

  • Experience developing dashboards or executive presentations using asset data.

  • Knowledge of State of Good Repair (SGR) principles and asset lifecycle planning.

  • Familiarity with capital planning or asset management programs in transit environments is a strong plus, especially with experience supporting or interfacing with MTA.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $80,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
