Mackenzie Stuart is seeking a Senior Asset Management Analyst to join a real estate investment firm’s growing Senior Housing team. The role focuses on driving value creation, optimizing portfolio performance, and collaborating with operators and internal stakeholders.

You will analyze financial statements, prepare investment materials, and support budgeting and capital initiatives to improve NOI and margins across the portfolio.

Mackenzie Stuart has been engaged by a real estate investment firm to recruit a Senior Asset Management Analyst to join their growing Senior Housing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to drive value creation and optimise performance across a portfolio of senior housing and active adult communities.

Responsibilities

• Execute asset-level business plans for senior housing and active adult investments in coordination with senior leadership, monitoring financial and operational performance through monthly analysis, forecasting, and KPI tracking


• Conduct regular operator calls and periodic property visits to assess occupancy trends, rate growth, expense controls, staffing, and capital initiatives, partnering with operators to drive NOI and margin improvement


• Prepare investment committee memoranda, quarterly asset reports, and investor-facing materials; support annual budgeting and reforecasting processes with operators and internal stakeholders


• Manage refinancing, recapitalization, and disposition processes, including coordination of diligence materials and external stakeholder requests; oversee capital expenditure programs and value-enhancement initiatives

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in senior housing asset management within an institutional real estate investment manager, REIT, private equity platform, or similar environment


• Strong understanding of property-level financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and proven ability to drive operational and financial performance


• Demonstrated experience working directly with third-party operators or joint venture partners


• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesise complex financial and operational data into actionable insights; effective communicator with experience preparing investment memoranda and presenting updates to senior management


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field; self-starter with proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
