Multifamily Asset Management Analyst

The Multifamily Asset Management Analyst will play a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of a diverse portfolio of multifamily assets. This role combines financial analysis, operational oversight, and market research to support business plans, investment returns, and capital strategies.

Responsibilities include collaborating cross‑functionally with Asset Managers, Acquisitions, Property Management, and Accounting teams to drive value creation and ensure strong asset performance.

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr – $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for leadership, capital partners, and lenders.
  • Review operating statements, rent rolls, and budget variance reports to identify key performance drivers, shortfalls, and opportunities.
  • Maintain and update financial models (Excel) reflecting leasing updates, capital activity, and market assumption changes.
  • Lead ad hoc analyses, market comps, and forecasting initiatives to support Asset Management.
  • Benchmark property‑level performance against approved budgets and provide variance analyses.
  • Track and monitor capital projects, draws, and distribution activity, ensuring compliance with joint venture agreements and lender requirements.
  • Assist with review and approval of annual operating budgets and reforecasts.
• Leasing & Marketing Analysis
  • Support retail leasing by reviewing LOIs, assisting in lease negotiations, and maintaining tenant relationships where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in real‑estate asset management, private equity, investment banking, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel.
• Familiarity with property‑level operations, budgeting, leasing strategies, and financial reporting.
• Ability to interpret complex financial reports (rent rolls, T12s, variance analyses) and distill insights for stakeholders.
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar property management systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for property visits, market research, and due diligence.
