Job summary

AerSale is seeking a qualified Accountant in Florida to join a dynamic finance team. You will manage the general ledger, oversee month-end close, and prepare timely financial reporting in a mid-sized corporate setting.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and interaction with executive leadership are expected. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3-5 years of relevant experience, with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
• 3-5 years progressive accounting experience in a mid-sized corporate environment.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Apply understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Assist with timely reporting of monthly financials, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Monitor department workflows to drive efficiency while preserving accuracy.
• Interface with other departments to verify data and resolve issues.
• Support non-routine reporting and inquiries from leadership (CEO).
• Coordinate with retained auditors to ensure clean, timely year-end audit.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

• Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
• Assist with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, including but not limited to timely account reconciliations and journal entry preparation with a focus on the asset portfolio.
• Monitor and analyze department work to develop department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Interface with other departments to verify transaction report data and issues.
• Support handling of non-route reporting transactions.
• Respond to inquiries from the CEO regarding financial results, special reporting request
• Work with the retained audit firm to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
• Support the financial reporting function to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Work with direct report to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in a mid-sized corporate accounting environment

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Adequate technical accounting experience
