Job summary

You will influence financial processes, support asset management strategies, and collaborate with a senior leadership team to improve asset performance.

The role focuses on accurate reporting, capital project oversight, and rigorous financial controls across a complex asset base in NYC.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in real estate.
• Excellent lease administration skills are required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Yardi Voyager, Nexus is preferred.
• Excellent computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day property accounting and lease administration for a multi-property portfolio, ensuring timely financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile accrual and cash books, focus on cash flow for capex, and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial packages, management reports, variance analyses, and cash flow reports.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, coding, approvals, and vendor coordination with centralized teams.
• Oversee tenant billing, escalations, operating expense recoveries, taxes, and charges per lease terms.
• Suggest improvements to budgeting, audits, and reporting processes.
