Job summary

Phillips 66 in the United States is hiring an Engineer II, Asset to ensure safe, reliable operation of compressor stations, pipelines, plants, and field assets. You will troubleshoot issues, evaluate performance, and support projects from concept through implementation.

Collaborate with Operations, EHS, reliability, and other stakeholders to translate engineering analysis into practical recommendations that improve reliability, efficiency, production and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in chemicals or oil & gas.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• Willing to work in field environments with PPE and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant, gathering system, compressor, sizing, and control-system performance; analyze operating data and recommend changes that reduce processing upsets, improve reliability and efficiency, increase production, and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support for process and operations troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root-cause identification, working with operators, mechanics, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain process simulations for plants and compressor stations to evaluate performance, support decisions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support and lead technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, engineering design, construction, installation, and upgrades for facilities and equipment while advancing safety and environmental risk-management objectives.
• Define project concepts, scope, technical requirements, specifications, cost estimates, and execution plans that comply with engineering standards and regulations.
• Develop engineering solutions, drawings, test procedures, and technical specifications; review standards and procedures and advise on quality, safety, reliability, and cost.
