Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking an Asset Analyst SG5 to ensure real-time accuracy of critical asset data and coordinate with field teams across Energy Delivery. You will gather, enter, and analyze data to support asset stewardship throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires technical knowledge and analytics skills for capital project design accuracy, with an on-site work location in Roanoke VA, Tulsa OK, Canton OH or Corpus Christi.

Qualifications

• Print reading technical expertise and understanding of electrical principles.
• Database knowledge or ability to learn.
• Preferred Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields and 2 years of related utility industry work experience

Responsibilities

• Print reading: review construction prints to ensure data compliance.
• Review multiple data sources in an organized manner.
• Create station location hierarchy in the database reflecting the project.
• Add capital project assets and asset attributes to the database.
• Utilize Vault and notifications to perform work.
• Update and monitor project status through asset entry lifecycle.
• Assist with refining Power BI visualizations of work metrics.
• Provide data support for field and engineering by responding to questions, tracking work and resolving issues.
• Support continuous process improvement through team discussions.
• Communicate data discrepancies clearly with engineering.
• Attend daily team meetings to review progress and workload.
• Demonstrate accountability by meeting Service Level Agreements.
• Demonstrate commitment to database integrity through data validation of changes.
