Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Asset Control Specialist in Landover, MD.

Responsibilities

1. Determines supply requirements from authorization documents or other media;
2. Maintains manual and automated records for requisitioning, receiving, and storing supplies, repair parts, and equipment;
3. Determines sources of supply and shipping modes; inspects and reports on supply and shipping shortages;
4. Interprets and prepares supply and transportation documentation;
5. Performs data entry to query and enter information for supply, acquisition, and inventory purposes;
6. Researches and identifies parts and materials from electronic equipment and component vendors and enters information into procurement database;
7. Records, maintains, and initiates purchase order documentation for acquisition of component items;
8. Pulls and stages equipment for shipment to various sites and prepares the necessary paperwork;
9. Maintains records to account for items shipped;
10. The employee may frequently be required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.

Qualifications

1. LEVEL II: Bachelor's degree in a related field, with 2-5 years of experience; OR Master's degree in a related field with 0-2 years of experience; OR 8-10 years of experience with no degree.
2. LEVEL III: Bachelor's degree in a related field, with 5-8 years of experience; OR Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
3. Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance at start;
4. Proven experience in logistics support in classified and OCONUS environments.
