Job summary

Rea Magnet Wire is seeking a Reliability Intern to support asset management and CMMS optimization at the Fort Wayne plant. The role includes maintaining spare parts, validating asset lists, and aligning CMMS with financial records.

The internship offers flexible scheduling (20–30 hours/week) and travel to other Rea locations as needed. This in-person internship requires ongoing learning and collaboration across engineering and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree, certificate, or technical education in a relevant engineering/technical field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or industrial processes.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and MS Office, with ability to organize and document data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn CMMS software and digital maintenance systems.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams; travel to other Rea Magnet Wire plants.

Responsibilities

• Validate Equipment Asset List for Rea Plants.
• Verify asset records match physical equipment at each plant.
• Align CMMS Asset Hierarchy with Financial Asset List.
• Ensure CMMS records match the financial asset list.
• Create and apply asset tags to approved equipment.
• Develop standardized asset identification tags for tracking.
• Review maintenance technician routes; explore PDA/mobile solutions.
• Review Operator Care routes for practical, mobile-enabled checks.
• Set up Spare parts locations, min/max quantities, and load into CMMS.
