Job summary

Centurion is seeking a Full-time Evening Substance Use Disorder Peer Recovery Specialist at Jessup Correctional Institution in Jessup, Maryland. You will support patients in their SUD recovery and lead recovery groups to foster community and long-term engagement.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, PRSS certification, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of related experience; corrections experience is preferred. Security clearance and drug screening will be required.

Centurion is proud to be the provider ofcomprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Evening Substance Use Disorder Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team at Jessup Correctional Institution (JCI)located in Jessup, Maryland.

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) employees support patients in their substance use and detoxification/ recovery process. They also lead recovery groups, build community and relationships.

Shift- Full-time Evening Shift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) required
• One year or more of experience working closely with patients and connecting them to resources or an equivalent combination of work and education
• Experience working in corrections preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
