Job summary

Centurion Health in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Full-time Evening Substance Use Disorder Peer Recovery Specialist to join the Baltimore Booking and Intake team. This role supports patients through the substance use and detox recovery process, leads recovery groups, and helps build community and connections.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, PRSS certification, CPR/BLS certification, and at least one year of relevant experience; corrections experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• PRSS certification required.
• One year or more of experience working with patients and connecting them to resources; corrections experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Evening Substance Use Disorder Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team at Baltimore Booking and Intake in Baltimore, MD.

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) employees support patients in their substance use and detoxification/ recovery process. They also lead recovery groups, build community and relationships.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) required
• One year or more of experience working closely with patients and connecting them to resources or an equivalent combination of work and education
• Experience working in corrections preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Shift: 3:30p-12a M-F EOW & EOH
