The Summit Church is seeking a Collaborative Assessments Associate to support our 90+ church plants. You will own assessment operations, data, scheduling, and logistics to identify and develop church planters and ministry leaders.

You will ensure consistent, scalable, well-documented assessment activities and provide operational insight to strengthen our leadership pipeline. As a member of the Collaborative Team, you will manage end-to-end processes, coordinate communications across assessors

Responsibilities

  • Own Assessment Operations from candidate intake to follow-up.
  • Coordinate communication among candidates, assessors, leads, and staff.
  • Maintain master assessment calendars, timelines, and records.
  • Prepare forms, travel, facilities, meals, materials, and tech for events.
  • Build dashboards and reports showing volume, progress, and bottlenecks.
  • Manage assessor capacity, onboarding, and scheduling.
  • Track action items and ensure follow-ups are completed on time.
  • Develop contingency plans for assessment events.
  • Support leadership-pipeline and collaborative operations as needed.

Summary of PositionThe Summit Collaborative Assessments Associate serves as a meaningful member of the Collaborative Team to support our 90+ church plants to thrive and multiply. This role owns the systems, processes, technology, communication, scheduling, and logistics that enable the Collaborative to identify, assess, and develop potential church planters and other ministry leaders. This role will ensure that assessment activities are consistent, scalable, well-documented, and executed with excellence. This person will also provide the Multiplication Director with reliable information, operational insight, and support for strengthening the Collaborative’s leadership pipeline.Qualifications and RequirementsDemonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-step processes involving numerous participants, deadlines, and stakeholders.Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to move work from planning through execution and follow-up.Ability to anticipate operational needs, identify problems early, and develop practical solutions.Able to clearly communicate with executive level leaders and coordinate assessment events.Ability to collect, organize, and report operational data that supports leadership decisions.Able to hold sensitive information about the development of ministry staff in confidence.Member or willing and able to become a member of the Summit Church.ResponsibilitiesThis role has five operational ownership areas:Own Assessment OperationsManage the end-to-end assessment (including LeaderPulse, Leader Assessment, and Church Planter Assessment) process, from candidate intake and scheduling through assessment meeting execution, reporting, and follow-up.Coordinate communication among candidates, assessors, assessment leads, Collaborative churches, and internal staff.Maintain a master assessment calendar, project plans, timelines, checklists, and participant records.Ensure that required forms, assessments, travel arrangements, facilities, meals, materials, and technology are prepared for each assessment event.Track outstanding actions and ensure that assessment decisions and follow-up steps are completed on schedule.Develop contingency plans and resolve logistical or process issues that arise before, during, or after assessment events.Manage Assessment Systems and DataServe as the primary administrator for LeaderPulse, Leader Assessments, Church Planter Assessment, and other tools used in the assessment and training process.Build dashboards or recurring reports that show assessment volume, candidate progress, assessor capacity, outcomes, and operational bottlenecks.Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors or internal partners as needed.Evaluate tools and workflows and recommend improvements that increase reliability, usability, and scalability.Manage Assessor Capacity and DeploymentMaintain a current roster of assessors and assessment leads, including availability, experience, training status, strengths, and deployment history.Coordinate assessor recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing communication.Develop and manage a repeatable process for assigning assessors to assessment events based on capacity, experience, candidate needs, and strategic priorities.Monitor assessor utilization and identify future capacity gaps.Ensure assessors receive timely information, materials, schedules, and post-event follow-up.Support Leadership Pipeline OperationsPartner with the Multiplication Director to translate leadership-pipeline priorities into clear operational plans.Coordinate the logistics and administration of pipeline training opportunities.Maintain visibility into prospective church planters and their movement through the identification, assessment, and development process.Track action items, milestones, risks, and next steps for pipeline initiatives.Document and improve pipeline processes so they can be used consistently across the Collaborative.Support Collaborative OperationsAssist the Collaborative Team with operational initiatives and special projects that advance the health and multiplication of the Collaborative.Provide project management, process improvement, and administrative support for ministry priorities beyond the assessment system as needed.Help build scalable systems and workflows that strengthen the Collaborative's overall effectiveness.Churchwide EventsThe hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
