Job summary

The Washtenaw Intermediate School District seeks a Coordinator of Assessment Literacy & Continuous Improvement to lead countywide efforts to strengthen assessment literacy and advance continuous improvement practices across local districts. This role integrates data-informed decision-making and improvement planning to help educators set goals, gather evidence, and drive equitable student outcomes.

The Coordinator will partner with districts, teachers, and community stakeholders to develop

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field required.
• Three to five years of teaching experience required; coaching/school improvement or district/ISD-level support experience preferred.
• Michigan teaching certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Equity, inclusion, and instructional mindset: lead socially just, equitable, and inclusive instructional practices.
• Assessment literacy & professional learning: develop high-quality student assessment systems and professional learning.
• Continuous improvement & MICIP support: lead MICIP guidance and equity-centered improvement efforts across districts.
• MTSS system support: coach teams to implement MTSS with data-informed decision-making.
• Data use & systems integration: help districts generate reports, dashboards, and data tools for transparency.
• Collaboration & leadership: partner with districts and agencies to strengthen countywide assessment systems.
• General responsibilities: maintain attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

Education
