**Pay Range:** $27.47 - $43.27 per hour

Assessment Coordinator 2 is responsible for implementing activities related to assessments in the Rush Medical College curriculum. This role requires independent functioning to complete tasks related to all aspects of the assessment program. The Coordinator will also be involved in training, hiring, and providing cross-coverage as needed. **Required Job Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree and one year in a medical education role
• Or five years of work experience in a medical education role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Strong planner and independent problem solver who can readily adapt to change in the workplace.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to exhibit a professional, courteous manner when communicating with medical students, faculty, and staff preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and a positive attitude preferred.
• Promotes a positive and productive environment, encouraging teamwork and communication and demonstrating a collaborative and innovative attitude toward the Program.
• Ability to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines, set goals, manage multiple complicated tasks, and work with minimal to no supervision.

• Identify challenges and develop solutions to emerging problems in assessment
• Interface with departments external to RMC to achieve assessment goals (e.g., Information Services, Institutional Research Board)
• Provide support throughout the recruitment and hiring process for new coordinators
• Serve as a lead trainer responsible for guiding and mentoring new trainers with under one year of experience.
• Independently executes high-priority tasks as a member of the assessment team.
• Provides comprehensive support and assistance across multiple coordinator roles, ensuring that all responsibilities are effectively managed and maintained during periods of absence or increased demand.
• Serve as a supportive peer advisor to the coordinator, offering guidance and insights based on shared experiences.
• Updates standard operating procedures and process documents as needed
• Serves as a chief proctor during the administration of assessments.
• Schedules ancillary proctors for the administration of assessments.
• Ensures payment processing for independent contractors, including using standard contracts, purchase requisitions, and related documentation, and check requests.
• Coordinates the procurement and provision of resources for all assessment events (personnel, room reservations, equipment).
• Collaborates with the Office of Student Accessibility Services regarding students testing with accommodations.
• Coordinates student, staff, and faculty scheduling for all assessment events, which includes distributing schedules and communicating with relevant stakeholders when their attendance is required.
• Review student grades for completion and upload them to appropriate databases. Assists in the transmission of grades to students, staff, faculty, administrators, and Registrar.
• Schedules meetings, reserves rooms, sends out notices, creates agendas, develops action items/minutes, and provides other administrative support for assessment-related meetings and committee work (e.g., standard setting, item writing, faculty training, assessment performance review, blueprinting).
• Assists in the generation and production of the MSPE, including proofreading and ensuring the accuracy of assessment-related data.
• Tracks student progress through completion of all internal assessments. Reviews assessments for completion. Communicate with appropriate stakeholders about students who missed/will miss assessments and coordinate accommodations/make-up sessions to ensure all students complete all specified assessments.
• Assists with the registration process for USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS. Ensures that all students are registered in accordance with OMSP and COSEP policies.
• Harvests and cleans data from a variety of assessment platforms (e.g., Examsoft, Oasis, SurveyGizmo, Poll Everywhere).
• Works with faculty and staff to prepare assessment-related materials. Manages the iterative collection and distribution of drafts of blueprints, assessment items, rubrics, policies, and procedures. Ensures that stakeholders have the appropriate materials, resources, and information to efficiently and effectively prepare, deliver, and analyze assessments.
• Manages all administrative functions involved with item banking, including entering and organizing items in Examsoft, tagging, and managing item revisions.
• Assembles student-facing versions of assessments for deployment using appropriate platforms.
• Coordinates complex timelines to facilitate the progression of assessment construction, administration, and reporting. Communicate with appropriate stakeholders about relevant deadlines and continuously monitor compliance with those deadlines.
• Collects, stores, updates, and disseminates assessment-related documents (e.g., policies, procedures, protocols, rubrics, performance reports, grade sheets) to a variety of stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, administration).
• This position will require some evenings and weekends.
