Universal Health Services seeks an Assessment and Referral Coordinator in Texas to coordinate referrals, assess needs, and facilitate admissions for behavioral health patients, ensuring proper dispositions and accurate information flow.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas (or compact state) with experience in crisis intervention and compliance with all policies. ADN/BSN preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The Assessment and Referral Coordinator receives referrals and establishes assessment and admission services to address patients with behavioral health needs. The Coordinator’s objective is to provide an appropriate disposition utilizing internal or external services. The Coordinator is responsible for assuring that patient information is obtained accurately and conveyed to the necessary entities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with crisis intervention and assessment and referral processes.
• Knowledge in psychiatric diagnosis.
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE

• RN - Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Texas, or part of a compact state license, or has a valid temporary RN license for the State of Texas while waiting to receive the permanent license. ADN / BSN preferred.
