Job summary

NSK Precision America, Inc. (NPA) in Franklin, IN, seeks an Assembly Technician with at least 1–2 years of manufacturing experience to join our production team.

You will assemble parts using SOPs, operate and set up machine tools, and ensure parts meet specifications through careful measurement with calipers and micrometers. This role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to read assembly drawings, and willingness to work mandatory overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts following SOP instructions and training.
• Set up and operate machine tools during machining cycles.
• Inspect parts per specifications and read assembly drawings.
• Adjust machine settings to meet specifications and tolerances.
• Start machines and monitor cutting operations to maximize throughput.
• Determine accuracy of machine operations and ensure parts are within tolerances.

Job description

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills/experiences:

• Assembly experienced for at least 2 years
• Have potential to advance into other promotion opportunities
• Have experience with caliper, micrometers, hand tools, able to assemble by SOP's instruction with training
• Must have attention to detail working with remembering a lot of different parts and what is assembled to each part
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime as required
• Set up and operate another machine tool during machining cycles
• Set or reset machine to requiredmachining sequence to machine parts in tolerance
• Inspect parts per specifications
• Read and interpret assembly drawing specifications
• Machine operations - running saws, and other machines
• Adjust machine settings to machine parts according to specifications and to maximize machining capabilities
• Start machine and observe cutting operations
• Select appropriate set up tooling and fixtures for machines
• Determine accuracy of machine operations
• Produce parts within required tolerances.
