Job summary

NSK Americas in Indiana is seeking an Assembly Technician with 1–2 years of manufacturing experience to build components per SOPs, using calipers, micrometers and hand tools.

You will read assembly drawings, set up and run machines during cycles, inspect parts for tolerance, and contribute to continuous improvement with attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Able to read and interpret assembly drawings.
• Must respond to overtime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts per SOPs and training.
• Set up and operate machine tools during cycles.
• Inspect parts and ensure tolerance as specified.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings.
• Adjust machine settings to maximize machining capabilities.
• Start machines and monitor cutting operations.

Job description

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills/experiences:

• Assembly experienced for at least 2 years
• Have potential to advance into other promotion opportunities
• Have experience with caliper, micrometers, hand tools, able to assemble by SOP's instruction with training
• Must have attention to detail working with remembering a lot of different parts and what is assembled to each part
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime as required
• Set up and operate another machine tool during machining cycles
• Set or reset machine to requiredmachining sequence to machine parts in tolerance
• Inspect parts per specifications
• Read and interpret assembly drawing specifications
• Machine operations - running saws, and other machines
• Adjust machine settings to machine parts according to specifications and to maximize machining capabilities
• Start machine and observe cutting operations
• Select appropriate set up tooling and fixtures for machines
• Determine accuracy of machine operations
• Produce parts within required tolerances.
