Job summary

Jobtailor in Tukwila, WA seeks an experienced aerospace painting coach to lead and upskill manufacturing teams. You will apply your painting expertise to guide colleagues, solve projects, and partner with site leadership to drive improvements.

The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating schedules for 2nd/3rd shifts, and delivering data-driven plans to enhance quality and safety. Candidates should have extensive decorative painting experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in decorative painting.
• Experience communicating with employees, customers, peers and leadership.
• Proficiency reading blueprints, drawings, specifications and templates.
• Able to work a flexible schedule between 2nd and 3rd shift.
• 5+ years’ experience with aircraft paint processes, hands-on painting is desired.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Utilize manufacturing and aircraft painting experience to coach employees
• Create, solve, and improve projects
• Interact with and support site leadership daily
• Create action plans for upskilling needed for manufacturing teams
• Create and deploy an upskilling schedule for manufacturing teammates
• Prepare surfaces, perform masking and free form painting, apply decals, mix/apply coatings, identify/correct finish defects
• Support Boeing Production System continuous improvement, safety, and documentation requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Decorative painting
• Ability to work a flexible schedule between 2nd and 3rd shift
• 5+ years’ experience with aircraft paint processes, performing hands‑on painting is desired
• Experience and proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications and templates
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
