Job summary

Schlumberger Limited is seeking an assembler to join our manufacturing team in Utah. The role involves assembling components and subassemblies, reading work orders or drawings, and using hand and power tools to secure parts. You will perform testing and inspection to ensure parts meet specifications and maintain related records.

  • Experience in assembly and testing of oil and gas service products or related fields.
  • Alternatively, at least 6 months of company experience with relevant progression/training.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems according to work orders, drawings or instructions.
  • Read and follow production orders, drawings, or verbal instructions to perform duties.
  • Perform operations to join parts (crimping, screwing, riveting, welding, soldering, etc.) using hand/power tools and equipment.
  • Test and inspect parts using magnifying devices and measuring instruments to ensure specifications.
  • Maintain records, logs, equipment, and supplies; follow safety guidelines.

Job description

Job Characteristics:

Responsible for assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems.

Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

Performs operations such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, cementing, press fitting, or similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.

Performs testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

Maintains records, logs, equipment, and supplies.

Safety-sensitive.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of relevant experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is necessary.

Experience in assembly, testing of oil and gas service products, automotive repair and maintenance, appliance repair or assembly, or handheld electronic device repair or assembly is needed.

Alternatively, at least 6 months of company experience with successful completion of the relevant progression/training plan is acceptable.

Independence Level:

Works under general to limited supervision once proficient in assigned tasks. Complex tasks are supervised.
