Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to coordinate shop floor activities, oversee material movement, and ensure MES/SFM and ERP data integrity. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Shipping to optimize throughput and inventory control.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, strong data analysis, and excellent communication in a fast-paced environment. Spanish language skills and US work authorization are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Manufacturing experience in a discrete process environment.
• Process discipline with strong data analysis capability.
• Strong communication across verbal, electronic, and written channels; bilingual preferred.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production components across the shop floor and provide clear status to production groups.
• Attend department meetings and drive follow-up with accountable owners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning/Scheduling, and Shipping/Receiving.
• Oversee Shipping and Receiving activities including barcode and labeling equipment.
• Move kits to/from the stock room to line side and align kits/components at transfer zones.
• Ensure adherence to MES (SFM) transaction quantities and locations.
• Keep production staff aware of the current production schedule.
• Plan storage for finished goods and maintain MO lot integrity.
• Support annual physical inventory and MRB movement.

A day in the lifeYou start your morning at the board reviewing open MOs, SFM (MES) transactions, and overnight variances in the ERP. You walk the floor, confirm kits staged at transfer zones, and clear bottlenecks so components glide from CNC and CMM into Assembly. Shipping and Receiving checks in with you about barcode printers and labels, while Engineering, Quality, and Planning sync on priorities. By midday, you’ve reconciled SFM and ERP quantities and locations, updated the production schedule for full component visibility, and expedited a critical build to Shipping. You close the day tightening WIP controls, drafting cycle count and progress reports, and lining up materials and storage for tomorrow’s finished goods.What you’ll handleCoordinate production components across the shop floor and functional teams; provide clear status to production groups.Attend department meetings, own action items, and drive timely follow-up with accountable owners.Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning/Scheduling, and Shipping/Receiving.Serve as the operational focal, helping operations supervisors and team leads prioritize and reconcile component quantities and assemblies.Oversee Shipping and Receiving activities, including barcode and labeling equipment.Work with supervisors to expedite assemblies through manufacturing to Shipping.Ensure seamless material movement in key floor areas.Move kits to/from the stock room to line side and align kits/components at the shop transfer zone.Ensure adherence to transaction quantities throughout manufacturing in the MES (SFM).Guide component flow to/from CNC, CMM, and Assembly.Develop packing materials plans and ensure the right materials are available on the floor.Plan storage for finished goods.Protect MO lot integrity.Manage MRB movement and tracking.Support and participate in the annual company physical inventory.Guarantee materials move smoothly between manufacturing departments.Create daily work progress, transaction, cycle count, and open MO reports.Maintain controlled WIP.Reconcile Shop Floor Manager (SFM) and ERP transactions, quantities, and locations.Identify floor-stock items and establish replenishment milk runs.Drive material improvements leveraging safety stock and Kanban.Keep production staff fully aware of all MO components by ensuring the production schedule is current.Execute ad hoc projects and analysis as required.What you bringHS diploma or GED (or equivalent hands-on experience).Manufacturing experience in a discrete process environment.Process discipline with strong data analysis capability.Sound judgment and the persistence to sustain newly implemented processes.Self-motivated, driven, adaptable, and change-oriented; results-focused.Clear, respectful communication across verbal, electronic, and written channels.Excellent organization and attention to detail.Comfort with MS Great Plains ERP; MES for labor/material transactions; MS Office; MS Dynamics 365 a plus.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Proficiencies that set you up for successLeadership / People ManagementLanguage: SpanishSupervisory ExperienceOSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)Warehouse ExperienceWorkers’ CompensationISO 9001 Certification ExperienceWorkplace Safety & EHS ManagementMust be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
