Job summary

Monroechamber in Schofield, WI is seeking an Assembly worker for a 1st shift, temporary role from 6:00am to 2:00pm, Monday–Friday. Wage is $18.00/hour. The position involves following work orders, operating saws, reading blueprints, and labeling finished parts.

You will move pallets with a pallet jack, measure parts, track time, and ensure quality. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours, bend, reach and lift up to 35–50 lbs.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Able to learn and read blueprints and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions.
• Use pallet jack to move pallets of product to different locations.
• Use automatic saws to cut tubing and pipes, hosing-chop saws, and manual saws.
• Read blueprints for cutting and building the parts.
• Take piece of tubing and expand it within exact tolerance specifications.
• Cut, trim, and attach braided metal and attach to hoses.
• Measure, compute and verify lengths of parts and drilling holes.
• Log individual jobs into the system to track time and participate in time studies.
• Place labels precisely on the product.
• Watch for faulty, damaged, or nicked materials to meet quality policy.

Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Assembly Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions
• Use pallet jack to move pallets of product to different locations
• Use automatic saws to cut tubing and pipes, hosing-chop saws, and manual saws
• Read blueprints for cutting and building the parts
• Take piece of tubing and expand it within the exact tolerance specifications
• Cut, trim, and attach braided metal and attach to hoses
• Measure, compute and verify lengths of parts and drilling holes
• Log individual jobs into the system to track time and participate in time studies
• Place labels precisely on the product
• Watch for faulty, damaged, or nicked materials or packages to ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are being met
• Notify lead when assembly/component inventory supplies are low
• Communicate with co-workers in a positive, business-like manner

Requirements for Assembly

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to stand for extended periods of time; shift duration 8 to 10 hours
• Able to bend, turn and reach throughout shift
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly, and up to 35-50 lbs occasionally
• Able to work weekend and overtime hours as needed
• Accurate counting and basic math skills
• Able to work with hand tools, cutting machines, expander machines, presses, rollers
• Able to learn and read blueprints
