Labconco, based in Kansas City, is seeking an experienced Assembler to join our headquarters manufacturing team. This is a 90-day temporary-to-hire role with the potential to become a regular full-time employee, contingent on performance and business needs.

Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components from blueprints, read schematics, and verify quality. Work with engineering and quality teams in a clean, safe environment and maintain a dependable attendance record.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components into lab equipment and subassemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Install, route, and connect electrical components, wiring harnesses, switches, sensors, motors, and controls.
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Verify completed assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly, fit, and wiring issues during the production process.
• Follow manufacturing procedures, bills of material, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve product or process concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Build equipment that helps advance scientific research around the world. Labconco is seeking an experienced Assembler to join our Kansas City headquarters manufacturing team. This is a 90-day temporary-to-hire position with the opportunity to become a regular full-time employee based on performance, attendance, and business needs. Employees who successfully transition to regular full-time status are represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM) and are eligible for the wages, benefits, and protections provided under the collective bargaining agreement.

What You'll Do

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components into laboratory equipment and subassemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Install, route, and connect electrical components, wiring harnesses, switches, sensors, motors, and controls
• Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Verify completed assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality requirements

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical assembly
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience assembling products with both mechanical and electrical components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and common measuring equipment
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
• Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience involving industrial equipment, machinery, control panels, electronics, or similar products
• Technical training in electrical, electronics, industrial technology, or a related field
• Experience with wire routing, crimping, electrical terminations, and electrical subassembly work
• Familiarity with basic testing and troubleshooting procedures
