Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II - MVA Offload. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00/hour per hour.

This position is eligible for a variable incentive program. CORE HOURS: MONDAY THRU THURSDAY (5:30AM - 3:30PM) You will read manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, and follow supervisor instructions to assemble and wire components.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment.
• No immigration sponsorship and related CPT/OPT/STEM OPT limitations.
• Relocation assistance not offered; within 50 miles of the specified geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing drawings and instructions to established procedures.
• Complete ISO and quality checklists and production lists as required.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations.
• Lift and assemble with heavy copper parts; verify quality and cleanliness.
• Report shortages and participate in lean kanban processes.
• Inspect assemblies for hardware and cleanliness; respond to changes.
• Assist engineering and supervision with development work.
• Train and coach colleagues to transfer knowledge and skills.

What you’ll do:

• Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures.
• Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
• Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts.
• Report shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory.
• Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
• Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
• Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
• Able to effectively train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.

POSITION CRITERIA:

• Use and knowledge of using hand and air tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills
• Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
• Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
• Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environmen
