Job summary

Cablenet Aerospace in Centennial, CO seeks an Assembly Technician to join our Production Department. You will assemble and inspect electrical harnesses per engineering drawings, travelers, and customer specs, using cable prep, crimping, and soldering skills to meet critical dimensions.

Ideal candidates have experience with IPC-620, NASA-STD, and related workmanship standards, and are able to maintain a clean, safe workstation while following all ISC policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; aerospace experience preferred.
  • 1+ year in manufacturing/assembly role; contract manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Experience with cable prep, crimping, soldering, and working to IPC-620 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and notes.
  • Verify traveler documentation for accuracy (part numbers, revisions, quantities).
  • Perform hand crimping on 8-28 AWG with stamped and machined contacts.
  • Execute basic soldering, including tinning with leaded and lead-free solder.
  • Identify solder types (leaded vs. lead-free).
  • Complete potting tasks: boots, connectors, breakouts.
  • Build assemblies to exact dimensions within tolerance.
  • Ensure work meets IPC-620 and other workmanship standards.
  • Sign travelers after each process step.
  • Identify, package, and label materials and assemblies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
  • Follow safety requirements and company policies.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Cablenet Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our Production Department. This role is responsible for assembling and inspecting electrical harnesses in accordance with engineering drawings, travelers, and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cable prep, crimping, soldering, and maintaining critical dimensions, while adhering to IPC-620, NASA-STD, and other workmanship standards.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
Core Competencies
  • Ability to work with hand tools, inspection tools, and measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience operating stripping machines, crimping machines, and manual tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity
  • Basic understanding of IPC-620
  • Basic soldering experience
  • Commitment to following ISC policies and procedures
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar manufacturing or assembly role
  • Experience in a contract manufacturing environment preferred
  • Aerospace experience is highly preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs unassisted
  • Stand or walk for prolonged periods
  • Sit and perform station-based tasks for extended periods
  • Perform repetitive hand and body movements
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Report to work free from alcohol, drugs, or impairing substances
  • Participate in safety activities and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
