Job summary

Lindsay Corporation seeks a General Assembly Technician to perform repetitive bench or line assembly of metal products such as angle bundles, motors, wheel assemblies, and hydraulic cylinders.

Candidates must read blueprints and tape measures, and be able to operate presses, drills, and rivet machines. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet customer needs. English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Must have knowledge of caliper gauges and computers.
• Must be familiar with hand tools – drills, screwdrivers, etc.
• Previous wiring experience is a plus.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Operates arbor presses or riveting machines for fastening on the line.
• Assemble bundles, wheel assemblies, and kits by hand.
• Trim metal with files/scrapers for close fits.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and Work Orders to determine parts and instructions.
• Operate drill/punch/riveting machines to aid assembly.
• Move materials using hand truck or forklift for shipments.
