Job summary

ABB is seeking an assembly technician to contribute to lean, clean production lines in Puerto Rico. You will ensure parts meet quality specs, operate multiple stations, and verify machinery during daily production shifts.

You will also document inspections and segregate non-conforming parts as directed. Responsibilities include rotating at stations, using pneumatic tools, presses and welding as required, while maintaining safety, quality, and process standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing assembly preferred.
• Comply with ISO 9001 quality standards, ISO 14001 HSE, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that assembled parts meet quality specifications.
• Carry out daily production according to the schedule.
• Verify that machinery is functioning properly.
• Complete inspection reports and separate non-conforming and/or scrap parts to the designated area.
• Visually inspect produced parts and ensure they comply with specifications.
• Operate and rotate between assembly stations, including the use of pneumatic guns, presses, welding, as needed and requested by the supervisor.
