Job summary

Dorner Manufacturing, a Columbus McKinnon Organization, is seeking an Assembly Technician in Hartland WI to assemble belt orders, operate production equipment, and perform quality checks per work orders and specs. The role supports a Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm schedule and requires the ability to read production paperwork, basic math, and mechanical aptitude.

1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and work instructions.
  • Basic computer, measurement, and math skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs belt assembly and processing operations according to work orders, specifications, and production paperwork.
  • Measures, cuts, aligns, and prepares belt materials for production.
  • Operates belting equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Inspects finished products for defects and performs quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and performs 5S activities as required.
  • Works in a safe manner while complying with all safety procedures.
  • Assists with material handling and movement of products within the department utilizing stationary forklift when required.

Job Summary/Overview

This position works within the Belting Cell and is responsible for assembling belt orders, operating production equipment, and performing quality checks according to work orders and specifications.


Work Schedule

Monday - Friday


6:00am - 2:30pm


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Performs belt assembly and processing operations according to work orders, specifications, and production paperwork.

  • Measures, cuts, aligns, and prepares belt materials for production.

  • Operates belting equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.

  • Inspects finished products for defects and performs quality checks throughout the production process.

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and performs 5S activities as required.

  • Works in a safe manner while complying with all safety procedures.

  • Assists with material handling and movement of products within the department utilizing stationary forklift when required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and work instructions.

  • Basic computer, measurement, and math skills.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipment.

  • Ability to remain focused and productive while performing repetitive tasks.

  • Team player with strong communication skills.

  • Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities to reflect changing business needs.


Required Qualifications


  • Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.

  • 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
